I used to be afraid of dentists (bad experience as a kid) but the staff and Dr. O'brien changed that for me. I'm thankful to have found this wonderful team. Thank you for making every visit easy and stress free!

I loved the attention to detail. He fixed a super tiny chip on my front tooth that wasn't very noticeable but drove me insane. Very personable. I've tried two dentists in La Mesa and this is my first choice.

WOW is all I can say....DR. O'Brian and his staff are phenomenal! I'd give more stars if I could.... for starters, they accepted me last minute as a new patient on a Friday at 4 o'clock when most others were closed. His staff was very friendly, helpful and informative and made sure my mother (who got stuck taking me there while I was visiting her) was aware that there were snacks and drinks available in the mini-fridge while she waited which wasn't long. I had a tooth extraction which, as the doctor explained, was like removing three screws without the screw heads present. He was done in 10 minutes. And on my way out the door the nurse gave me a long stem rose which I have to my mom! Today is the following day... the anesthetic has worn off and still no pain whatsoever! Thank you doctor O'Brien!

So grateful for Dr O’Brien and the entire staff. He was able to fix a big problem tooth for me on short notice and everyone was so kind. Hands down the best experience I’ve had in a dentist’s office.

I've been a patient of Dr. O'Brien for a couple of years and I am completely satisfied with the quality of service that I've receiving at his office. He is very knowledgable, has smooth hands when injecting my gums, and he is super nice. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of dental services.

Don't like the dentist? Dr. O'Brien will change that for you. The man is literally a miracle worker. My teeth were all sorts of screwed, and he fixed everything perfectly. His front office staff are not only professional and polite, but extremely sympathetic and accommodating. They bent over backwards to make sure everything was up to snuff, and Dr. O'Brien even called me after 6pm on a Saturday just to make sure I was doing ok after some extensive work he did. That is above and beyond any treatment I've received from any caregiver. Seriously, I can't recommend this team enough. They are top-notch on every single level.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. O'Brien for over a year now. We were a transfer from another DDS who retired. We have to say that Dr. O'Brien and his staff are beyond GREAT! This is the BEST dental office in San Diego. Dr. O'Brien and his staff, especially Cheryl are so nice. He and his dental staff are simply AMAZING. Excellent service, super clean facility with up to date equipment. For all your family dental needs, this is the go to place. I give this dentist and his office 10 stars out of 5.

I went to La Mesa Family Dentistry for 2 years and only had great experiences. I really liked how the dentist was very clear about what he thinks should be done, but was not pushy at all. Actually, I would say he was on the conservative side of recommending dental work, which I think is great because I've had many dentists and sometimes they can be overly eager about pushing dental work. The office staff was also always really friendly and helpful.
